Great Wolf Fun

Surprises are always fun to me! I just couldn't wait to surprise the kids yesterday afternoon with a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge. I packed in silence while Chase was at school and Ryan put the bags in the car while all the little ones slept Wednesday night. We told the kids we were going sneaker shopping at The Legends and would enjoy some play time in the fountains. As we neared the Legends we turned into the Great Wolf and suprised them with our plan for the night!

What? Really? Are you serious!?

Yay!

We had a ton of fun! We swam alot and all the kids had fun in all different parts of the waterpark.
We had some fun Thursday night playing some putt putt. Ryan said it best, there is a reason 5 and under are free. The girls putt putted for a little while and then it turned into just a big play place.

At about the 16th hole, sprinkles from the sky started falling. The girls and I took cover since I was holding onto my beautiful camera. Just as we got under cover, the sky opened up. And it stayed open for a long time!

Kyndall and I enjoyed a 5 minute snuggle sitting on the hotel room floor listening to the rain. Momma was one happy momma!

We enjoyed some yummy snacks and arrived just in time for story time

We turned in for the night after our lovely Click Clack Moo story. Momma in her bed with Miss Kyndall. Daddy in his bed with Miss Ella. And Mister Chase in a bed all by himself. It was a nice night :)......all except for some pretty noisy neighbors. But they calmed down. Eventually.

Today we enjoyed some swim time before we headed home.

It is hard to take pictures with my camera at water parks. Especially ones of Chase since he is always in the middle of the biggest water slide. He had a great time on all the water slides. Ryan and I traded turns riding ones with him which made it easy to spend time with all the kids without feeling like we neglected any of them.

I am looking forward to this summer. Our trip to the Lodge helped me remember that summer is always a time of renewal for us as a family. It is a time for me to focus on the kids and more importantly how to have FUN with them. No restrictions. And I can't wait to get started!

But first, a little mini vacation with my hubby to a family wedding in St. Louis! I can't wait. I should really go pack, again!!
