Wow what a week

We had a great but very busy week. With school and football in full swing, life is never dull. The girls and I planned on having lots of playdates this week so that we could get out of the house while the weather is gorgeous!! And boy did we have lots of fun. With a visit to the farm, again, and then to a fabulous little place called Wonderscope. We had so much fun this week it may be kind of hard to stay at home this next week. We also took advantage of our only night with no football with some outside play time with the kids. The slide is Kyndall's new favorite adventure and there were times I thought it might be her last trip down it. She is fearless when it comes to this contraption, so fearless it is scary!

But how can I stop someone who is having this much fun?!

We enjoyed popsicles and the sandbox, all at the same time which led to hands that look like this:

Football is going well for Chase. He is giving it his all which is alot. He has practice usually 3 nights a week and usually is a scrimmage, not just practice. But recently coach has had him doing extra practice, which helps him and I think Chase likes that he is getting all the help. We had a scrimmage on Thursday night that beat all of our boys up. The team is a team we will see again but the boys were much bigger and much more experienced. Needless to say, we got beat up but learned that we have a lot to work on.

I also had to show you what we were playing against. Check out the kid on the left of this picture, can you say holy moly. He was 250 and about 5 feet tall. The boys soon learned that size matters when it falls on you but that it hurts when it comes to balance and agility.

But this just says it all about how that scrimmage went:

The boys are learning to work as a team and that it feels really good when you do something together, correctly.

On Friday night I decided to not take my camera since I took over 200 pictures Thursday night. But I wish I had, well maybe not wish, but it was a moment. Chase, for the first time, got laid out on the football field. After a snap, he stood straight up to see where his man was instead of staying low, and ka-pow down he went. It was hard to see but he tells me it didn't hurt, physically. He also said he didn't want that to happen again. Oh the joys of watching our son grow up.
Have a great weekend everyone!!
