4th Grade here we come!!

School has officially started for Mr. Chase. He has ALL of his friends in class and says his teacher is really nice, so I'm not sure if that is a good combo. But only time will tell but I know that he is in desperate need of a routine and learning. So with fresh blueberry waffles and bacon in his tummy I sent him off to conquer 4th grade. This is the first day of school that I haven't went with him to meet his teacher and send him off. But he is in 4th grade now and apparently that is the magical year of "mom let me go". So I did, in the rain, he rode his bike to school, all by himself. Wow, where did that time go!! Oh well, mom will move on someday.

Today, well tonight, was also a first. This was Chase's first night to practice with pads on. Sorry no pics since we are like crazy chickens with our heads cut off to get him fed and to practice on time. Friday night is a little scrimmage so I will for sure have the camera then. As for tonight, he is beat up and tired. Says he had lots of fun but is just exhausted. Welcome to football.

Back up a day or two...On Monday we decided to enjoy the great day, cool day, as a family. With Chase back home and not in school yet, it seemed perfect to go to the farm in town. It is a fabulous place to see farm animals, feed the baby goats (Ella HATES this), and to fish.

It was so fun to spend time all together letting the kids run around and play. Holding hands with my 9 year old, which rarely happens but when there are nothing but toddlers running around, he feels safe enough to. Here are just a few collages of our Family Fun at the Farm:

After some time fishing, Chase finally had a bite. When he pulled it up it was this GiNOrMoUS snapping turtle.

It was a little frightening since it had the hook in its mouth. But luckily it let go of the worm which also let go of the hook. Phew!! Then after some gathering of ourselves, Chase mostly. He went back to trying to catch a fish. Which he did!! He was so cute about it. He was so anxious to get it back in the water. "Put it back mom, hurry. Quit taking pictures. Mom come on". He just didn't want that little fish to suffer, so cute.

Lastly, today was a very lazy, rainy, and cool Tuesday. After sending Mr. Man to school, the girls and I laid back and watched the rain for a while. Ella isn't much interested in this anymore but any reason Kyndall has to lay with mommy, she is all over it!!

And I finally think I found a way to get her to quit crying while I am taking pictures. I just have to take them holding the camera in the air while I am right beside her. You know, the way you do it when you are taking one of yourself. Hence why there are only ones of her eyes or part of her face. They still turned out cute. Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
