No school Friday

It was a no school Friday around here today! As much as I love all my children, when my son is home on those random days off life tends to get a little hairy. He isn't used to our routine and really isn't interested in it in the first place. So today we did a more grown up craft to get our house ready for Halloween and we decorated sugar cookies!! It was a good day...minus the crying 2 year old that seems to cry at everything these days.

I love it when my table looks like this! Good eats come from messes like this!

See good eats!

See baby crying, it was our cookie making music today

Frosting cookies is always an adventure with 3 kids. Chase is old enough to really like to do this and does an excellent job at it. Ella is kind of getting the hang of it but her cookies are still only edible to her. Kyndall, well lets see the frosting never hits her cookie-just her mouth. It is quite a sight :)

Then we made canning jar jack o laterns. They turned out super cute and an easy enough craft that Ella could do it. I can't wait to see them all lit up tonight on our mantle.

And there was still lots of this:

because she had a hard time painting the Mod Podge on the jar and not her mouth.

Hope you all have a great weekend :)
