We are all still learning how to be around each other....this might last for the next 15 years! It has been a challenging day so far but baking always makes life better!!



Apple Pie Filling and Applesauce are the treats of choice today! Here are the girls helping me peel the 10 pounds of apples for both batches.

The apple pie filling was the most challenging thing I think I have ever made!! I refilled those jars about 4 times until I finally got the right mix of syrup and the right size of the apple slices. Throw in the screaming kids that aren't sharing very well right now, I heard myself counting out loud at one point ;). But we made it through and it all turned out good.

The applesauce will cook all day and I am making some apple muffins during naptime. I am thinking we are good on our fall apple fix :). Happy Thursday!!
