Sometimes us parents need a kick in the butt to get our parenting back where it should be. Yesterday was that day for me. And in order to help get my butt in gear, I will be thinking of 3 things every morning about each of the kids that I love. Some mornings this is going to be a stretch but I want to do it. I want to remind my brain of where my thoughts should really be and not on what they do wrong. My thought was to keep these 3 things personal but after some thought, I realized that they might actually like to read these someday and that made my heart sing. I may or may not post them all the time but I want them to know that I really do love them with all my heart. The quote about being a mother means your heart walks around on the outside of your body, nailed it.
Chase:
* i love his creativity and ability to come up with a plan for his school project with little prompting. Getting it done might be tricky but I am amazed at how creative he is
* i love his humor. He is so funny and is learning how and when to interject humor when our conversations might be getting a little too serious.
* i love his heart. He adores his sisters and they return the love!!
Ella
* i love her smile, it is so precious and sweet
* i love the way she talks to Kyndall. High pitched just like a momma does to her babies
* i love her enormous ability to remember something. And yes, Nanie we had to plant the acorn tonight!
Kyndall
* i love the way she hugs me. Arms wrapped tight and pats me on the back. Pure momma love!!
* i love the way she says Ella - it is so cute and so her
* i love the faces she makes when she is checking out something - priceless
So those were mine from this morning. I loved reminding myself of these and I think it may have kept my patience in check a little today. I am here to guide these little ones into being good people. In order for that to happen I have to treat them like good people!
Tomorrow we are making some yummy applesauce and the girls are helping me :) Pictures and stories to follow!
