How do you like them apples!

Sickness Update:
Our house and all the members that live beneath this roof seem to finally be on the mend. After some sort of stomach virus, sinus infection, strep throat, bronchitis, and pneumonia, we are finally getting better. It has been a challenging last two weeks around here. I am really hoping this is our only time to get this, this season. With us all on the mend, life is resuming and I am loving it!! There is nothing like feeling like crud to make everyday life seem glorious. On to our weekend!

Nanie and Papaw came for a quick visit this weekend. They came to watch Chase play football and take miss Ella home with them for a while. Chase unfortunately pretended to hurt his foot really bad so they didn't get to see him play but got to see his team win their game. We had to a great lunch with them and then sent Ella on her way. We know she will have a great time!! I am hoping she enjoys having all the attention. Kyndall has been enjoying her new found freedom to play with whatever toy she wants to. With Ella gone, Ryan and I have noticed just how funny Kyndall is. She is coming out of her little shell and it is super cute!! And although our family just isn't the same without Ella, this time without her so far is helping us to see Kyndall for who she is.

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and our new found lack of sickness, headed on out to a new apple orchard. We travel to many pumpkin patches and apple orchards over the fall season, but we have never had to chance to actually pick apples. I am so glad we went today. The orchard was beautiful, plain and simple.

There were no gimmicks or petting zoos. You came to the orchard to do exactly what we did, pick apples.

We had a great time. Probably not the best place to take Ryan, who is allergic to bees. There were bees everywhere there was a rotten apple, which was everywhere. But it was super fun and a great family moment.

We got about 60 apples for $13. Seriously!! I will be back next weekend to get more. I am seeing apple butter, apple crisp, apple pie filling, apple muffins, and homemade applesauce in our future!!

Not to much else happened this weekend. Pasta got a new do today after I could hear her begging me to cut her hair!

We are hoping that this week is sickness free and a week that we can finally catch up on missed work and missed housework. Here's wishing the same to you! Bye Bye
