Things I love day #9-see I changed the name finally. I love painted baby nails. It has been a tradition since Ella was teeny tiny that we paint our nails for special occasions. Going away on a mini vaca seemed to be a good reason to do this. So my girls and I indulged ourselves in some good girlie time and painted our nails. Chase felt a little left out so he joined us, just didn't paint anything! I just love that my girls, so far, are as girlie as I am. LOVE IT!
Seriously, could she be any cuter!!
Things I love day #10, #11, and #12. Fireplaces, far away places, and films. We had such a great time at our bed and breakfast getaway. This place is just the best. In the middle of nowhere, which is a good thing for everyone sometimes. Great hosts/owners that make sure you feel welcome at every turn. We watched 3 movies in one day...I know huh, 3 movies. I was impressed that we made it through one movie without having to turn it off because of someone screaming or maybe it wasn't appropriate...so nice! And all the while our in room fireplace was going and the snow was still waist deep outside our windows. Ahhhh, what a great relaxing time. Sorry no pics but if you would like to see where we stayed or need a getaway idea, Orchard Hill Bed and Breakfast in Excelsior Springs MO is the best b&b we have ever stayed at. One of my more favorite things about it: you can use their kitchen (which is spectacular) to cook meals so you don't have to go out!
Things I love day # 13. Emergency walk in clinics. Yep, you read it right. Our little girls got super sick and super fast. When we picked them up they seemed fine, a little cough that had been there before we dropped them off. By the time we got home the next morning, they were wheezing and both coughing so hard they were throwing up. So off to the walk in clinic we go where I think everyone else decided to go also. And they all had the same thing. The dr. said we made a good call, Kyndall was the worst. They are both on the road to recovery but we are very thankful that we got in yesterday instead of another sleepless night of taking care of super sick children. Again, sorry no pictures.
Things I love day #14. Valentines day with my kids and my husband. I love this holiday for everything that it stands for. I believe that love conquers all and in my heart, love is ALL that matters. And you don't have to be married or dating or "in love" for this day to be great. I love spoiling the kids with cute LoveBugs that I made each of them:
And a jar of love for my hubby
And a new pin board for me and my sewing area
And a new purse for my great aunt
Love those colors!!
And tonight, heartshaped pizza of course! COmplete with homemade rice krispie hearts made by the kids here in a little bit. Happy Valentines day to you all!! I love you all!!
