She's such a pro at pouring the grape tea!!
We all had so much fun. The girls played so well together and gave us mom's a few hours of great talking, venting, wishing, planning, and well just having adult conversations. I am very blessed to have these new friends in my life.
This note was left for me..of course it was in baby talk so I had to translate for you all.
It has been a rough few weeks with Miss Kyndall. I keep telling the husband that it is just teeth but I am beginning to think that it isn't. She literally clings to me. I don't think she realizes how hard it is to make dinner with her hanging on my leg. I was picking her up at first, just to avoid crying. But that has created an even bigger monster. Now I can't even go to the bathroom without her on my lap. Well, and yes I sound like a horrible mom and yes it BREAKS my heart when she cries, this is no more. I can't function around the house. So tonight was the start of crying central during learning time, nap time, and get dinner ready time. She is not happy with me and she is making sure I know it. I am so hoping this is just a phase and that we will quickly learn how to play.
And a quick update on our son. He is doing better but still pushing his limits, which seems normal. He is learning that life is much easier when you follow directions but he still likes to be independent. At his game on Saturday he was one of the captains, yay!! He got to call the coin toss.
Grandma and Grandpa Robinson got to come and see him play, which they enjoyed. It was the most gut wrenching game I have EVER watched, and I have watched some pretty nail biter games. But when it is your kid and your team, which you have watched grow and learn, it is so HARD to watch. This team was not better than us but they definitely had more heart in it. It was down to the last minute and one play. Our team had one play left to get it in the end zone to win. We ran and tried so hard to just get across that line, but it wasn't meant to be. All of us parents were screaming, jumping up and down, running down the fence to see the outcome, and so upset when we were 1 yard short. And you could tell the boys on the team that really care about football, they came off almost in tears and very upset: Chase was one of those. It was a hard thing to watch. But in the parking lot, a little light shone down on Chase. The opposing team coach ran and caught up to tell Chase just what a good player he is. He was so impressed with Chase's persistance and his effort in every play. He wished that he was on his team. I'm sure Chase wishes they won but this made his day!!
Here is a great pic:
We are getting ready for Halloween and all of our trick and treating! Happy Week to you all!
