Friday night I was honored to take the team picture. It turned out great and the boys had some fun with it also. I was very happy to be able to do this.
Look at our little superstar!!
Here is one I had some fun with
Saturday was a big game for Chase. This was the best team we have played so far. The sad thing is they had ONE player, just one, one lonely little boy that made them the best team in the league. The even sadder thing is this one player, got into the heads of all of our players in the first few plays of the game. I would be safe to say he was in their heads before we even started the game. He was unstoppable. He found EVERY hole we had and ran his little heart out. I am for sure we will hear his name again in a few years. He was awesome to watch but made us all turn into "those" parents at the game. I had luckily gotten my hands on a huge lense to take some great actions shots of the boys. And although we lost, our boys were amazing. Although they probably gave up a little during the first 5 minutes, they didn't quit playing like their life depended on it. They still tackled and tried to make those important plays. Chase managed to tackle the QB and make him fumble the ball. We were some proud parents at that time!!
I was so proud of Chase, and all of our boys, after this game.
On Sunday morning we decided that we needed to get out and enjoy this absolutely gorgeous weather we have been having. So as Ella was walking around the house talking about the safari she was on with her little giraffe hat on, we decided to take her on a real safari. We headed to the ZOO! It was great. And even though I love to take pictures, I didn't want to this day, but Chase did.
We saw things that were cute, like the 2 month old (70 pound) baby hippo. We also saw things that we never want to see again:
Gross! Ella retelling of this story to Grandma Sue. "Yeah he shaked his butt and poop flied everywhere" "It was so gross". Priceless!!
Look how much he has grown. The first picture was taken in 2006 and the second take just yesterday. They just grow up too fast!
And after a refreshing day at the zoo, we all enjoyed some football at home on Sunday. Followed by some great IRT deadlist roads. Which if you haven't seen this show, it is worth your time to watch. THANK GOD I LIVE IN AMERICA, that is all I have to say about it.
One last picture. You know I love to cook and I am loving taking pictures of my goodness. After such a great weekend, I wanted to cook some comfort food for Ryan and I to enjoy before we went back to work.
Yummy cheddar cheese grits with smothered shrimp!
