Celebrating Life
What a crazy life we lead sometimes! This weekend was probably the craziest yet. On Saturday we all decided to go to Manhattan. Tickets to see the wildcats play were in our hands and the kids would be enjoying some grandma time! I can't imagine the joy those three kids must bring to her. And the fact that she has every toy known to man helps make their smiles much bigger. Ella got in her playdough time and had her popcorn while they watched a movie. I also heard that Uncle Jason came by to play and had a blast getting them all riled up. Chase was a little upset about not going to the game and tried his best to argue his way to a ticket. "But you guys got to have a romantic dinner last night and I didnt. So now it should be my turn to get something" was one arguement. The best one was " Mom doesnt even know the names of the players". He is sure getting good at finding good topics to argue. After the initial let down, he soon picked up with wanting popcorn and a movie also. Playing with mom helped brighten his mood. Well until he ran his forehead into the doorframe. Yep that brought us all back down to Earth. We got up the next morning and ate breakfast at the cow place (the kids' favorite) and headed home. Got home just in time to put the kids down for nap and for us to unpack. Then it was off to Chases last bball game. He did AWESOME! He had 7 points and was so much more aware of his role on the court. Although it is going to take us some time to go into our big feet. At one time he ran face first into the padded wall. It was kind of scary for me to just sit there and hope he was ok. But he was fine just a little banged up. After his game he got his cool new trophy and we ran to the car. We made the mad dash back west to have dinner with my grandparents. They celebrated their 57 wedding anniversary today. 57 years?! What a great thing to celebrate! After what we all called an event filled dinner (waitress fell with a tray full of salads and our sweethearts causing all sorts of rukus), we drove home and laid our sweet angels to bed.If you have ever thought I need another day to recover from the weekend, this weekend would have been that time to ask. And as crazy as it was it was all so much fun! Spending time with our families and celebrating life and love, what could be better!
