School starting and the end to summer

School officially started a couple weeks ago, which seems weird. We haven't really settled into a school routine and are still enjoying the summer weather. Even with the great weather outside, the kids have loved getting back to school, homework, and sports.

First day of school:

Kyndall has been loving her time at home. She plays what she wants, when she wants, and loves to snuggle with me when we have a little down time in the mornings.

Football has been going well for Chase, but man oh man is it working him! He is exhausted by the time Friday night rolls around and can be caught going to bed around 6pm. His first game is Thursday so it will be fun to see how they really play.

To celebrate the end of summer we took the girls to see the Lego exhibit at the botanical garden. They had a blast and the weather was a little reminder that fall is not far away.

A little game of tic tac toe....

Needless to say, we had a great time at the gardens. I can't wait to go back.
