Why hello there little blog!

I was reminded this week while we were at a good friends house that my blog had not been updated in well something like 4 months. Ouch. Really 4 months. Ouch. Sorry. Where to start from here......

Instead of going back through 4 months worth of pictures (and really there aren't that many) I will just tell you it went a little something like this : CRAZY BUSY. There are and were some days that I don't even know what actual day it is. And as punctual as I am, I have even shown up late to things. UGH! I love the chaos but I am still learning how to live in it with the kids at this age. Here are just a few highlights of the last few months:

Kindy Graduation
Ella graduated from Kindergarten, we were all so proud of her. She had a little musical and then we watched her graduate to first grade. Ella's class sang one, and I think even two, of the same songs that Chase sang when he graduated kindy. This momma was in tears. Before I blink she will be in jr high!!

Baseball
This baseball season has been crazy. Between Ella playing coach pitch with Ryan being the coach and Chase playing on a more competative team, our minivan has packed on the mileage. Chase is playing well. He is looking forward to going to Omaha this upcoming weekend to play as well as catch a College World Series game.

Ella is also playing well and is so fun to watch at this age. He team is comprised of most of her friends with a few new friends thrown in. They all bat and they all play the outfield. It has been a great reminder of where they all start out when it comes to sports.

Drive in
With summer starting that means more trips to the drive in on Friday and Saturdays! This was our first visit this summer, but not our last. We even had some friends join us. It was so fun to hear them talk about how much fun they used to have at the drive in and for their kids to watch their first movie. We will be going back shortly and I just can't wait!!

Strawberry picking
I found a couple farms around here that are u-pick strawberries and even though I have my own little patch, I went out to check out their crop. I was not disappointed in any way. The first time I went with the kids and the second time Ryan went with me.

We have done a lot and still have alot going on. I am looking forward to this week and traveling to our second out of town tournament. It is going to be fun to spend some time with Chase.

As for us (Ryan and me) we are both busy with our jobs as well. Ryan is working very hard on a project that will be over and done as of this Wednesday. I think everyone in this house agrees that it will be nice to see his face. We all miss him when he has to work so much. With him working so much, he hasn't had a lot of time for other stuff. He is enjoying coaching Ella's team and is looking forward to some time off this week for Omaha.

I have decided to close my clothing line, Charmed Fig, for good. It was just too much to handle these past few months with all of our other stuff. But, I did become a consultant for Thirty-one products. I have so many I figured I might as well share the love with others. I have to admit I love this company and I am excited to see where this opportunity takes me. Unlike the clothing, I can work at my own pace. My garden is in full force and I am so extremely proud of it. I have never worked so hard at my garden, but man has it paid off. I am just hoping for a few more weeks of not hot temps so that maybe I can get some brocolli to actually grow on the ginormous plants I have.

Strawberries, lettuce , beets, baby carrots, and kale

Other than that the kids are just trying to enjoy the summer and I am trying to do the same. I think we are all looking forward to the 4th of July and the understanding that baseball is all done. I will be back soon with pics from our Omaha trip :).
