Thankful

My kindergartener came home on Friday and told me all about her fun day at school at her reindeer party. I feel guilty but so thankful that she did. The grief that those parents are going through, to me, is unimaginable. Every time I start to think about what happened in that school my body goes on strike. The tears are all that I can offer these parents. I feel that I am a changed parent because of this, but then again who can watch or hear about this and not be changed. I made a quick video of our past week since I am trying to soak up every minute of kids that I can. Nothing is more important right now, nothing. I keep this proverb in my head: The soul is healed by being with children. So true.
