We have been battling a nasty cough with a nasty runny nose around these parts this week. I am proud to say that Miss E is on the mend finally but the nasty cough really threw her into a tizzy for most of the week. She absolutely hates throwing up (who does?) so this cough reminded her of that time in her life when she was perched before the porcelin throne. Even the dr was trying to convince her that coughing is a good thing and that spitting up that nasty stuff is the best thing you can do. It has been interesting to see how my girls are growing and learning the ways of this world. We have taken all this week off from playdates and gymnastics and even from running errands. I envisioned the grocery store getting cleared out by E coughing just one time....it wasn't a good thought for me. At any rate, we are finally on the mend. So we are forgoing the tv today (it keeps E on the couch resting, which means no coughing) and are finally playing again. Todays play of choice, babies. I just adore when the girls pull out the bottles, bibs, and baby blankets. It allows me to remember the time when they were wrapped in those blankets.
I love seeing my little girls with their fabulous mothering skills coming out. I love their gentle touches and they sweet soft songs that they whisper as they are holding their babes.

And although it is a LONG LONG ways off, watching them become mothers themselves is going to be the most magical time of my life, I think. I can't imagine what it will be like to watch my babies become mommies and daddies themselves.
Here's to wishing everyone a Happy Groundhog Day!! I am not sure what he saw, but around these parts 6 more weeks of winter will be the same as spring starting early.

Ava enjoying the nice warm sun on the back deck yesterday. What a winter!!
