Ugh it's just been too long...

Wow, has it really been over a week since I blogged? Ugh, that is just too long! We have been busy busy busy, but really who hasn't been busy so far this summer? No one I know.

With Chase out of school for summer and the weather FINALLY warming up, we have all been outside for most hours during the day. We are enjoying the parks, the sandbox, the watertable, the sprinklers, and lots of sidewalk chalk. Oh and bubbles, LOTS of bubbles. We have also been enjoying some morning walks looking for all sorts of birds and flowers.

She makes her momma very nervous!

We recently had a bout of strep throat that took 3 of us as it's victims but we are proud to say we survived and kicked that nastiness out of our house! I have never had strep, even after teaching for almost 10 years, never had that nasty infection. Man, I don't want it ever again. I feel so sorry for those of you that get throat  things throughout the year because it stinks.

With all of us well, the kids and I have been doing lots of learning about the ocean.

I decided that I wanted a schedule and that we are going to stick to it throughout this summer. Plus, I know that it will connect with the girls and with Chase in ways that just being a mom can't. But when I came up with this I was thinking that this would help me be a little stress free. I mean seriously playing games, coloring, reading, and all those fun things that preschoolers do. What could be easier? (This is where all of you that really know me are saying "you can't do easy" "it's not in your nature") Well easier turned into major lesson plans and some super fun activities. Although it has been a little, ok alot, more stressful than just staying at home, it is all worth it.  One of our activities was painting a crab mask for us to use in a play next week. The girls had a great time.

Even daddy is getting into the learning! I think he enjoys it as much as I do.

We are gearing up for a fun weekend full of baseball games, an impromptu bbq, cleaning out our basement and taking a TON of stuff to goodwill. We hope you have a great weekend!!
