Overwhelmed

I know I am not the first mom to feel this way but the word overwhelmed has entered my mind now for a week solid. My brain is just mentally exhausted and I am not quite sure why. Other than the fact that I am attempting to get ready for Chase to get home and go straight to football practice, get some sort of plan in place for the girls for this school year, get everything canned that I can get my hands on so that we can have fabulousness in the winter, keep our house clean, soak up what little time I have left of summer, and try to get things ready for the various craft shows this fall. I am just a little busy and I am beginning to feel, well, OVERWHELMED. So my goal for my Friday is for it to be fabulous. I am going to get it all done: house clean, laundry done, plan in place for girls and Chase, and get everything put in it's spot. And then Saturday, I am going to pass out, no just kidding. I am thinking a farm is calling our name with lots of animals and fun things for the kids to do. Here was what we got accomplished today.
I have found that taking pictures in our bedroom first thing in the morning allows for some great pictures. For almost 3 mornings now we have tried to tatake pictures of the girls together, no luck. Kyndall is just NOT a picture taking baby, at all, not even with mom. So here we are day 4 and we are taking what we get. Which is great in some shots and not so great in others. I got a little crafty and made a collage!! Here is a few of the shots. Needless to say this is as good as it's going to get around here!

Love this one with Kyndall fussing and Ella is just waiting patiently in the back. At one point Ella says "Mom why won't Kyndall just smile like me, it's just a camera". Yes Ella I totally agree. Happy Friday!!

One more collage, so fun!!!

Oh what a week!!

Oh how I have missed my computer and my blog!! I have become accustomed to writing about the kids or life every night that going almost two weeks without it has been difficult! Add to that the fabulous camera I have and it makes it even harder but we are all passed that. So without further or do, here is our last two weeks in one blog.
This last weekend we visited Powell Gardens again to see their butterfly exihibit. We got up early and got there about the time it opened hoping to avoid the excrutiating temperatures that we seem to be having right now. The flowers, as always, were beautiful

and the butterflies (that we saw) were also beautiful.

They had tons of activities for the kids but by the time we made it outside we were all sweating buckets. Here is Ella in her new set of antennas.

We made our way through the garden and grabbed a fantastic fresh bite to eat at the little cafe.

Ella enjoyed her snow cone

while Kyndall enjoyed the shade and a book.

We quickly decided we couldn't put the girls through this anymore and made our way back home. After being at home I realized that we missed the entire butterfly exihibit altogether. We saw the native butterflies but totally walked past the exotic butterflies, darn! But with the temps like they are and the hour drive it takes to get there, they will just have to wait until next year. My two favs!!

Here are just a few more pics from this week. We have been stuck inside since it is so hot outside, which stinks! Even at 7am, it is already so hot that I am sweating just from watering the garden. Oh well, we will live it up inside!

Speaking of garden, we have some company in our garden this summer. Yesterday I walked out to about 20 swallowtail babies on our fennel!! How exciting, every year we have had some sort of butterfly to raise. I brought in 6 to raise inside and keep over the winter since they don't hatch right away. I am hoping to find some Monarchs at my parents house later this month so that the girls can see them hatch!!
Here is one of our lovies!

The girls just love petting him, it is quite amusing. I hope you all have a great week!!
