Helmets and Tiaras: What a wonderful day....

What a great end to a great little fall break! I'm not sure if it is because I have been sick for far too long and am finally feeling better or its just that we had some much needed time to just slow down and enjoy this lovely season. Whichever reason or if it was both, it leaves my soul refreshed and ready for the week. We heard great reports from teachers during parent/teacher conferences, which is always music to momma's ears!!!

We had a great time this weekend with Grandma and Grandpa visiting. They got to see a not so good football game Saturday night but that's ok. We then spent the day with each of them having a blast. Ryan and his dad had a great time at Nascar race.

While the boys were gone, we girls took total advantage of the gorgeous day! We took a walk to the new park near us. It is so nice to have a new place to play.

The new park is a challenge for the kiddos. She wasn't sure about this but she did so good!

Then as we got home from a yummy lunch I saw our neighbors raking leaves. They had already bagged 4 bags and had about 20 more bags to go. I quickly ran across the street and stole two of their bags. You see all of our neighbors have these gorgeous trees around their yards that drop these leaves. We don't. My girls don't get to jump in leaves (except for the fun time last year at Grandma Sue's). I wanted them to have some fun and boy oh boy did they!
